Believe, harder!
You know I don’t often say “You must”.
I make suggestions. I ask questions. I help you figure things out for yourself.
But today is different.
Let me tell you why.
Yesterday, I wandered over to the other side of my co-working space for a biscuit.
And that’s when I bumped into James.
We exchanged that 'working on a Saturday, huh?' look and start chatting.
When I tell him I’m a life coach for entrepreneurs, he says “Ugh, I hate the word entrepreneur" and then goes onto say "If I’ve got a problem, I just figure it out myself.”
So, there I am face-to-face with someone who, essentially, doesn’t believe in what I do.
But I kept talking. I didn’t shrink.
Basically, this Justin Beiber meme was in my head haha...
And by the end of the conversation, he said:
“You’re actually really good at getting stuff out of me. Maybe I need your card.”
Now, that’s not just a cute, confident moment.
That interaction and a few others very recently was the closing chapter on a belief I’ve been working through for 10 months.
Since November 2024, I’ve been dismantling a very specific limiting belief I believed about myself. And it’s finally gone!
A limiting belief can be just one negative sentence in your brain that's blocking you from accessing new levels in your life, mine was.
That’s all it was, just one sentence. Not a hundred fears, just one strong lie.
Just one sentence you've been subconsciously repeating over and over can quietly make you question yourself and your my value.
I talk about bulletproof belief a lot and I want to really explain what I mean. Bulletproof belief is something you build.
Think about actual bulletproof material. It’s made from layers.
Not one sheet of fabric but layer upon layer of tightly woven fibres, stacked on top of each other until it becomes 'fit for purpose'.
That's how you need to approach your belief.
Adding a new layer is a very honest, sometimes painful and time consuming process that is 100% necessary to access new goals in your life.
Belief is not a one-level game.
Reader, your belief has to grow.
And it takes taking a hard, honest look at the parts of yourself that you don't even want to believe are there and working on yourself from the inside out.
You MUST do this!
It's non-negotiable.
The belief you started with in your business, your goal, yourself is only an entry ticket. It got you here but it won't carry you through the rejections, the hard months or the silence.
Your next layer starts with one question: 'What sentence in your mind is quietly stopping you?'
Find it.
Until next Sunday,
Dior xx
