How much I've saved in 2025, so far

Our Q4 check in!

At the beginning of this year, I started one of those Monzo challenges that takes money out daily and puts it into a savings pot.
On day one it saves 1p, on day two 2p and by the end of the year you’re supposed to have around £650.

I started it thinking, “Perfect, this will cover Christmas presents for my nieces.”
Then last month, I checked the pot.

It only had just over £300 in it.
And for a second, I was confused.

I thought, “Wait, how? Only this and we’re already in September! 9 months in?”
So I went back to check the rules again and it dawned on me.

It’s not supposed to grow evenly.
It grows slowly at first, then all of a sudden it jumps because the more time goes by, the more it multiplies.

In the next 3 months, what I have accumulated over 9 months will almost double.
This is exactly how life and business work.

Around this point of the year, we start looking back and feeling like we’re running out of time. We see our goals, compare them to our current progress and start thinking “Maybe it’s not going to happen this year" or “Maybe I should lower my expectations”

But that’s not how compound growth works.

The compound effect says that small, consistent effort builds momentum until it hits a point of acceleration. There will be an inflection point where things suddenly multiply.
You don’t see it happening day to day, but once it kicks in, your growth is bigger than ever.

In my accountability group, on this weeks group call, I talked about how the last stretch of the year isn’t about panic, worry or disappointment, it’s about expectation!

Instead of looking at the calendar and thinking “It’s too late,” remember, according to the rules of the compound effect, you’ve just entered the part of the year where it gets really good.

October, November, December are your compound months.

This is when your consistency pays off.

So if you’ve been doing the work, even when it’s been slow, even when it’s felt pointless, trust that your results are about to multiply.

Here are my personal declarations for the rest of the year, feel free to believe it too...
"My end results will far outreach what I’ve seen so far."
"I have everything it takes to multiply my results."
"I am grateful for today and believe in greater for tomorrow."

Until next Sunday,
Dior xx

Well the subject was correct. What a waste of time!
Needed to read this this week - a reminder that the only person in control is me! Get off those apps that aren’t adding and build myself. Loved this - thank you!
